The Bammer recently finds everything I do fascinating and wants to be involved. This can be really fun sometimes, but also hard others. But I want her to feel involved with what I do and to teach her, so I let her help. Even if that means more work for me or a big mess to clean up. She'll get the hang of it as she gets older. Kids just like to be like their parents! Lately she's been putting my shoes on and trying to walk around the house. ;-)
So one of her favorite things is to help me cook. When I make dinner, I pull up a chair and let her play with the measuring cups or the spice bottles or the vegetables (which she often will eat and I am all for that because she refuses when they're on her plate!).
And yes there have been big messes! A few weeks ago we were making homemade pizza which involved sticky dough and lots of flour. Needless to say, the floor, the counter, Bammer, Alan, and I were covered in flour as we ate dinner, but she really enjoyed it! And I love that!
This was a few months ago when I was still pregnant...the Bammer is actually really good at ripping lettuce for salads!
