Today has been pretty bad... as I have mentioned before, the Bammer is a terrible teether. She cries a lot and gets pretty upset to where she'll start throwing things, hitting people, and trying to bite anything that she can grab - my legs are some of her favorites...
Today has been particularly hard. At one point I was trying to feed Bammer lunch, but she cried and threw everything on the floor and Lil Sis is lying on the floor crying because she wants to be held. I'm only one person!
The Bammer has also been hitting and pinching Lil Sis lately so we're going to start doing time outs. I wasn't sure if she was old enough yet, but some of my friends with kids her age have been doing it and it works for them, so hopefully it will work for us! Luckily both girls are napping now and I can have some time to recuperate.
But looking at the good things of the day...
we went to the park this morning and Bammer loved it! The park in our complex is a good size for her age and she was able to play on it all by herself. We need to go there more often and remember to bring water and snacks so we can stay longer next time.
I also bought the Bammer new shoes on Saturday! I bought her sandals at the beginning of the summer that were a size 4 and she is now in a size 6! Needless to say, those old sandals didn't fit anymore, so we got her some cute new ones.
And I painted her toes! I was painting my toes a lovely red Saturday and Alan said I should paint the Bammers since she was standing right there watching me. She actually held still and they are so cute! Unfortunately, Alan stepped on my toes and the Bammer grabbed them so I had to repaint mine another two times...luckily it's quick and easy now that I can reach my toes without a big preggo belly in the way. :-)

My day sounds about the same as yours! A toddler teething, yelling, throwing tantrums, time outs, all while the 2nd child's crying. It's comforting knowing I'm not the only one that had that kind of day :). Here's to a better day tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteTell Alan that he needs to watch his big 'ole feet!!! :)
