I love seeing all the ideas on pinterest for toddler activities, but usually they're just a little too old for my toddler at 18 months. So I try to simplify things as much as possible so she can do them too because usually everything ends up on her or in her mouth.
I saw this cute Autumn Tree Collage from NurtureStore (which they email you every Sunday for weekly activities for your child, very fun!) You're supposed to tear the pieces and paste them. So I went through my scrapbook paper and found some pre-cut squares of green, blue, yellow, and red and knew they would be perfect! So I pulled out the glue stick and a piece of white paper and let my daughter go to town! (I may have helped her a little - team effort) And just as I thought, the glue stick ended up on her hands, on her nose, and on her lips. But who didn't eat a little glue as a kid right?
After we glued on some squares, I let her use some markers to add a little bit of her own flare. She was very good to only draw on the paper and to put the caps back on. She's growing up so fast!

This looks so fun. I have been wanting to do a collage with my daughter, but I have been too afraid to pull out the glue. Maybe it's time. I mean how much glue can she eat before I wrestle it away. :)
