A few weeks ago, the women in my ward got together for a Super Saturday - a day of crafts. Apparently lots of wards do this and I had no idea! The purpose is to bring some of the craftiness back into Relief Society since the Relief Society Meetings often don't do crafts like they used to. I think this is a huge bummer, by the way. I loved all the crafts my mom made when I was growing up and she still has a lot of them! But anyway...
So for super Saturday, one of the options was to make little girl animal hair bows. So I made a pair of mice and ladybugs. They turned out so cute and I wanted to show you how to make the lady bugs because they were so easy.
All you need is:
ribbon
hot glue gun
alligator clips
scissors
First you cut two pieces of ribbon. One about 4 inches and the other about 3 inches. Then glue the ends together to make two loops.
Then hot glue the smaller loop inside the larger look so they're layered.
Then take a small piece of another color of ribbon (a dark solid color is a good option). Glue it to the bottom of the outer loop and wrap it around to make the face. Glue the ends down on the back side.
Then glue the lady bug on an alligator clip and you're done! I also covered the alligator clip with ribbon first by hot gluing it on. See? So easy! Now if I can just get the Bammer to keep them in her hair... Luckily Lil Sis' hair is almost thick enough for clips.

Cute!
